Mossy Oaks Elementary has enjoyed the reputation of being one of the best schools in the county and the new Beaufort Middle School (located on the site of the old Beaufort High School) was a great addition to our system last year.  Cottage Farm is a friendly neighborhood. The community dock allows the home owner's access to Battery Creek. What a great place to meet your neighbors fishing and crabbing or just taking a evening stroll! The developers desire to preserve the trees, vegetation and the wetland area (and in return the wildlife) is evident.  Resale homes with open floor plans run from 1500 to 4000 square feet with 3 or 4 bedrooms, possibly a Carolina room, a screened porch or wrap-around porch and most with a 2-car garage. There are a few waterfront homes with private docks. Other selective homes and home sites rest on a high bluff with great sunset views. The development began in the early 1990’s and has opened 116 lots in several phases. When you purchase a home site you are not limited to a building date and you are not required to use a particular builder. There are covenants and restrictions and we will be happy to provide you with a complete set. Construction of homes, fences and other buildings must be approved by the Home Owners Association.Regime Annual Fees are $240.00/year but do change as to need.
